Come and meet the friendly OWLS staff team.
Vicki Thompson (OWLS Administrator)
I’ve been working at OWLS since January 2016, and previously worked over at Bramley Elderly Action since 2013. My job is office-based so I’m generally the one answering your calls and any queries you have for transport, payments for trips and anything else. I grew up in Bramley and now live in Farnley. When I’m not at work I’m a busy mum of two.
I work Monday–Friday, so if you’re in HEART feel free to come up for a chat. I’d love to meet you. Email Vicki
Jenny Oates (Outreach Worker)
When you join OWLS I come and meet you to introduce you to what we do, and provide information to all our members so they can get help or services they need and know which of our activities they might enjoy. I have worked at OWLS since 2016. Before that I worked in Nottingham for the Alzheimer’s Society. I have a degree in sociology and psychology. In my spare time I love climbing and am a trained yoga teacher. Please call the office to speak to me. I work 4 days a week and am often out visiting OWLS members but will return your call if you leave a message. Email Jenny
Catherine Skyvington (Activities Co-ordinator)
I’ve been at OWLS since it started in 2011. I look after all our regular activities and plan day trips and special events. I also recruit our lovely volunteers and support our members taking part in activities. I really love my job at OWLS and really enjoy helping people become more active, meet new friends and have fun! I have a very active one year old boy who takes up most of my time. I like to watch films, play the saxophone, horse ride and go for walks around Knaresborough, where I live.
Please get in touch for information about our activities or volunteering. Email Catherine
Tony Holmes (Transport Worker)
I joined OWLS/BEA in November 2017. I drive the minibus, primarily in the OWLS area, as well as overseeing the maintenance of the buses and doing some transport related admin across the whole organisation. I was born in Hunslet and lived in South Leeds for almost 50 years, but am now settled in West Leeds. I worked in the transport industry for more than 20 years, mostly as an HGV driver. I have since worked in the voluntary sector teaching computers to adults, mostly older people. I also play guitar and I’m an Associate Member of AGRA (Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives) Email Tony
Fran Graham (Operations Manager)
I manage the OWLS services and activities, and also work at Bramley Elderly Action and Bramley Lawn. I love being part of a happy, team, encouraging people to get together and working to improve OWLS’s services. In my spare time I’m learning gardening and I love canals! Email Fran
Lee Ingham (General Manager)

OWLS is governed by the same board as Bramley Elderly Action, made up of elected volunteers who are passionate about representing older people.
