This year we held a lovely afternoon of live music from the fantastic Stevie Fields for the International Day of Older People. Thanks to everyone who came along and to our wonderful volunteers.

OWLS Presents ‘Lootcase‘

Story of a lower middle class man who finds a suitcase full of money. He believes that the suitcase is the divine answer to all his lower middle class problems. However, the dark past of the suitcase catches up with him and he now has to make a choice – does he fight or does he take flight for survival. Starring Kunal Khemu & Rasika Dugal.

Showing on Thursday 31st October, 11.30 at Hyde Park Picture House, tickets are £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for children under 12 (carers are free)

Would you like to make a positive difference for the local community and older people?

Are you a flexible, community minded person with excellent people-skills and project management experience?

COMMUNITY BUILDER 

PAY: Scp 23, £26,999

HOURS: 37 hours per week

HOLIDAY: 28 days plus Bank Holidays (pro rata)

To deliver, monitor, evaluate and develop a project that aims to strengthen the local community by recruiting lonely / isolated older people, to volunteer and join local community organisations / activities (including OWLS). OWLS is managed by BEA.
